Food Service personnel will follow all guidelines in accordance with the NJ Department of Agriculture and Child Nutrition Program rules and regulations. All decisions will be determined in compliance with guidance from the USDA. The Garfield School District will provide Grab and Go meals for all students in grades PreK-12. 

  • Only students at preschool will have breakfast in the classroom. 

  • Elementary through High School will be provided with grab and go breakfast and lunch.

  •  No sharing of meals will be permitted.

  •  Multiple meals will be distributed to students for consumption during remote learning days.

  •  The purple cohort of students who attend school on Monday and Tuesday will receive breakfast and lunch on the way out of school on Monday, on Tuesday they will receive breakfast and lunch meals to take home for the rest of the week.

  •  The gold cohort of students who attend school on Thursday and Friday will receive breakfast and lunch on the way out of school on Thursday, on Friday they will receive breakfast and lunch meals to take home for the weekend. On Monday they may pick up meals at the designated distribution site for meals Monday-Wednesday.

  •  The Boilermaker cohort who is learning fully remote will report to one of the designated distribution site(Monday – Friday),either at 464 Outwater Lane (9am to 12pm); (4:30-6:30pm) OR at 55 Lincoln Place (9:15-11:45am). *This is effective MARCH 8th.
